Mixed Colored Roses

The Language of Rose Colors?

What does a rose mean? What color of roses mean what? We get these questions a lot, more than you would think!

Let me start with the general aspect of a rose.

Roses have inspired people all over the world with their language by meanings to color, variety,  and even down to the numbers of roses gifted. Traditionally, the rose is considered the flower of love. Nothing beats red roses in saying “I Love You”  and especially on Valentine’s Day.

It is always good to know what the color of rose means when you are gifting them to a friends, loved one, or even someone you don’t know. When you consciously choose a certain color, variety or number of roses for someone, you bring a whole new depth to the idea of gifting roses.

We want to give you some insight as to the meaning of these rose colors:

Red Rose: the love, longing & desire rose. “Be Mine” or “I Love you” rose.

Light Pink Rose: this rose is best described as the “Gift of Grace” rose. Sweetness and innocence all in one rose.

Peach Rose: very often described as the Modesty rose or a rose color signifying bashfulness.

Orange Rose: Fascination, passion and energy some up this rose the best.

Salmon Rose: Desire & Excitement all in one.

Yellow Rose: This rose is known for its range of meanings. From Infidelity to friendship to caring to and undertone of romance.

White Rose: This rose again has a couple different meaning. From “A heart unacquainted with love” to “New Beginnings” rose.

Cream Rose: Charming & Thoughtfulness Rose.

Lavender / Purple Rose: Enchantment & Love at 1st Sight Rose

Dark Pink Rose: Gratitude & Appreciation Rose

Burgundy Rose: Unconscious Beauty Rose

Green Rose: Constant Rejuvenation of spirit, new life or good health.

Rainbow Rose: Well this is a new modern twist recently brought to us from Holland and well yes it is a fun one but…it isn’t naturally grown that way. Rainbow roses are known for fun, friendship, and good vibes. While they are a fan favorite, they are stem-dyed this way and very expensive.

We hope this helps you enjoy the roses you gift, receive or cut from your own garden to enjoy. Remember, at the end of the day, they are all beautiful in nature. Stop to smell the roses, always, you won’t regret it!

Cheers!
